OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to take responsibility for all tax deliverables, statutory tax obligations, and arrangements across the Australian region.
In this role, you will provide expert tax resourcing and support for both Nyrstar and Trafigura, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all tax-related matters.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and lodge tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and precedents.Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimise business outcomes.Provide all relevant tax inputs for financial statementsAnalyse financial data and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.Ensure compliance with all statutory tax obligations across the Australian region.Provide clear, practical tax advice to internal stakeholders across the businessMonitor legislative and regulatory tax developments to ensure ongoing complianceQualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.Minimum 5 years' experience in tax accounting, preferably with public accounting or corporate tax.Solid knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experience in SAP would be highly regardedWhat We OfferCompetitive salary packageCareer development pathways – our diverse and challenging work environment will present you with many opportunities to grow, develop and advance your skillsSalary sacrifice for superannuation and novated car leasingAnnual incentive bonusDiscounted health insurance and gym membershipEmployee assistance program – that's free for the familyApplicationNyrstar is an equal opportunity employer.
