Introduction Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia. LLD focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs in the regions which we operate while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline’s services in geographical areas where they do not currently exist. LLD encompasses Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Eastern Suburbs-Bondi, New England North West, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne and Central Australia. Our specialised and targeted services operate nationally via a telehealth model. Description Based in the South West Victoria region, you will work collaboratively with a diverse and enthusiastic team to ensure the efficient, safe, and effective operation of our Warrnambool Warehouse. Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing clear direction and oversight to all warehouse staff—both paid and volunteer—as well as managing logistics, donations, collections, sorting, and deliveries to internal and external stakeholders. A key part of this role includes building and maintaining a positive team culture and a strong, reliable volunteer base, while ensuring that WHS requirements and workplace safety standards are consistently upheld. In this hands-on position, you will ensure the warehouse and yard remain clean, well-organised, and compliant with WHS legislation and LLD standards. You will oversee the collections and sorting processes to ensure stock is prepared and distributed to shops in a timely manner. You will work closely with shop managers to ensure stock aligns with each store’s target market and meets quality expectations. Additionally, you will support correct recycling processes to maximise returns from our SAP operations. You will also be committed to continuing to deliver exceptional service to retail operations across the network, ensuring consistent support, communication, and supply to all stores. Skills And Experiences To be successful in this position you will have: • Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations including supervising of staff • Ensuring orders are picked and despatched by deadlines • Clear and effective communication skills that build trust and respect. • Current holder of a VIC forklift licence desirable. • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation. • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines within given timeframes. • Highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution. • High-level customer service skills with a focus on ensuring return patronage and donations. • Experience managing a small multi-disciplinary team to ensure warehouse goals are achieved. • Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments • Induct and train warehouse personnel on current warehouse procedures • An understanding of training and working with volunteers and or a willingness to undertake training. • Overseeing the supply-chain process ensuring all procedures and deliveries are met in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
