Overview
Senior Development Planner – mentor and support a planning team, provide high‐level advice on development and land‐use matters, and manage complex projects in a fast‐paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional planning advice on development and land‐use to council, staff, community and authorities.
* Assess development proposals, identify impacts, determine conditions to support orderly development.
* Review and prepare planning documentation including assessment reports, conditions of consent, policy reviews and strategic planning documents.
* Coordinate and manage complex development matters and special projects, lead cross‐functional teams and represent council at panels and the Land and Environment Court.
* Mentor and support junior planners.
Qualifications
* Degree in Town Planning or related field.
* Demonstrated experience in a similar planning role and ongoing professional development.
* Membership or eligibility for the Planning Institute of Australia.
Remuneration and Conditions
* Commencing salary up to $102,804.44, progression to $123,581.19 on assessment of skills and performance plus 12% super.
* 9‐day fortnight work schedule.
* Hybrid and flexible working: 2 days from home, 3 days onsite.
* Vehicle allowance $207.31 per week.
* Location: Wyong Administration Building, Central Coast Council.
