Support Officer, Learning & Teaching - Faculty of Humanities
Our team is looking for a proactive and organised administrator to join us to provide excellence in learning and teaching support. This role supports the administration and delivery of learning and teaching across the Schools and the Faculty of Humanities, ensuring the efficient operation of units and courses in all locations, modes of delivery, and study periods.

About the Role:
This is a fixed-term, full-time position ending September 2026, with a salary range of $83,283 - $91,103 (G05) + 17% Superannuation. The role is based at the Bentley Campus, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of learning and teaching policies, providing guidance and support to academic staff while escalating issues to the Teaching Support Manager as needed.
Assist Academics with all aspects of unit delivery (e.g. creation and maintenance of unit outlines, assistance with the Learning Management System (Blackboard), and making all necessary resources available to students).
Communicate effectively with staff to facilitate teaching delivery and provide user guidance on digital teaching delivery systems.
Administer unit changes.
Support the administrative processes for engagement and payment of casual academics.
Track critical university dates and deadlines, ensuring timely communication with staff and directing student inquiries to central services.
Build strong relationships with learning and teaching academics through consistent feedback and communication.
Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
Desirable Criteria, But Not Essential:
Experience in a student and/or academic support related position.
Demonstrated understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
Proficiency in Curtin's systems, applications and programs, such as Blackboard, Student One and Akari.
