We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Journalist to join our editorial team at My Weekly Preview and Sunshine Coast News Online. This role offers the opportunity to work across two of the region's most trusted and loved news platforms, delivering engaging, high-quality content that resonates with our readers.
What you'll do:
* Write and develop stories across a range of genres including lifestyle features, news, community, property, and more.
* Support the Editor in producing fresh, relevant, and well-researched content.
* Attend local events, launches, and networking opportunities to build contacts and source stories.
* Work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Contribute ideas, think quickly on your feet, and bring creativity to the team.
About you:
* A degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
* Minimum two years' experience in journalism, writing, or related media roles.
* A strong news sense and the ability to spot a good story.
* Confident in digital media and comfortable creating content across both print and online platforms.
* Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
* A true team player who thrives under pressure and collaborates well with others.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated.
* Professional communication skills and the ability to represent the publications at public and networking events.
