Registered Nurse - Home Care, Casual Pool About the roleTo support our growing clientele and service our consumers, ARRCS Home Care are currently sourcing a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join them on a casual basis. Employment will see you join our Home Care 'Casual Pool' where you will be contacted on an ad hoc basis when there are vacant shifts. This employment will not guarantee you shifts or hours per roster.This role attracts an hourly rate of $44.21 - $46.43 / hour + 25% casual loading (depending on skills and experience).As a Home Care Registered Nurse, you will regularly travel to our consumers residence to provide care. In addition, as a qualified member of the team, you will assist the provision of medication and when required providing clinical advice and support to our less experienced personal care workers to achieve people focused quality care in accordance with the ARRCS mission.This role will ideally suit an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys working autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be in a position where you are able to confirm ad hoc shifts and enjoy being in a nursing role where you travel to people's homes, support their independent whilst interacting with them and their families. You will be comfortable travelling as part of your role across the Greater Darwin region and have intermediate computer knowledge for record documentation whilst 'on the road'.Skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, ARRCS will be looking for the following skills and qualifications:Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.Bachelor of Nursing.Current first aid and CPR.Full working rights for Australia.Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.Prior experience working as a Registered Nurse, with preference within a Home or Community Care setting (however, not essential).Experienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills.Preferably prior nursing or support worker experience within an aged care setting and familiarity of Aged Care legislation.About ARRCSAustralian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is not-for-profit aged care and community service provider who deliver services including Residential Care, Home Care, School Nutrition and Early Learning Childhood programs throughout the Northern Territory.Our Vision is passionately pursuing new ways in delivering care where people and communities flourish and lead meaningful lives.Benefits and perksAs an ARRCS employee, you play an important and rewarding role in helping vulnerable people to live life in all its fullness, every day.
