The role:
Are you an enthusiastic and versatile professional with experience in International Freight Forwarding? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment? If so, we want you on our team As an Operations team member at S.A.L. Global Logistics, you will join a dedicated and experienced team, where you can strengthen your technical skills and advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Operations Manager in daily tasks
* Managing import and export processes for sea & air freight
* Owning the end-to-end export shipment lifecycle
* Arrange and manage local transport bookings for all cargo modes
* Handle import Customs reporting and export EDNs & PRAs
* Job Registrations, Track & Trace
* Check and process import clearance documentation, liaising with Customs Brokers to arrange clearance
* Invoicing
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years experience in international freight forwarding
* Experience with CargoWise One is preferred
* Broad experience across imports, exports, airfreight, and seafreight is advantageous
* In-depth knowledge of Australian Customs and Quarantine procedures
* Forward-thinking and problem-solving skills with innovative solutions
* Comfort in a busy office and effective communication with customers both internally and externally
* Reliability and the ability to work independently when necessary
* Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach
