About The Role
Join Team Global Express as a full-time Branch Manager – Eastern Creek. Reporting to the General Manager – Palletised Express East Coast, you will be responsible for all aspects of branch operations, including team leadership, safety, performance, resourcing, and customer experience. You will lead a team of approximately 240 people, ensuring operational efficiency, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement across the branch.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coordinate, and hold team members accountable for daily operational activities, ensuring safety, productivity, and customer requirements are met
* Manage labour costs and staffing levels, including time approvals, absenteeism, leave, and performance management
* Oversee customer experience through accurate documentation, professional handling of freight, and service standards
* Liaise with unions, resolve employee issues, and maintain positive industrial relations
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies, including Dangerous Goods, transport regulations, and OH&S
* Manage budgets, KPIs, and financial reporting for branch operations
* Provide coaching, training, and development to staff, including inductions, skill development, and licensing requirements
* Conduct regular inspections, audits, and incident investigations to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace
* Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to drive performance and continuous improvement
About You
* Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex teams (3–5 years minimum in branch management or similar roles)
* Strong knowledge of OH&S principles, industrial relations, and compliance requirements
* Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance
* Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
* Tertiary qualification in Logistics or related discipline desirable
* Experience in transport or logistics industry, including fleet and warehouse operations
