As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.
In this role, you will:
* Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
* Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
* Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
* Work a part time roster of 30hours per week, 8:30am – 2:30pm
About Goodstart Burnside:
* Goodstart Burnside is a 90-place centre, catering for around 70 children per day, with a strong community feel and a focus on nutritious, home-cooked meals
* We’re looking for someone passionate about cooking from scratch, catering to a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free meals, with two anaphylaxis cases to be mindful of.

You’ll need:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
* Current VIC Working with Children Check
