About the role:
We are seeking Survey Assistants on a permanent full-time basis, DIDO from Sydney or Newcastle. In this role you will assist Senior Surveyors in carrying out a variety of survey works, ensuring outcomes are delivered to the required scope, schedule and standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the setup of survey instrumentation and onsite preparation for projects
· Assist with survey instrumentation maintenance and configuration of equipment as directed
· Assist with the capture of field data as directed by lead surveyor
· Ensure survey and compliance checklists are completed and correctly recorded
· Assist with processing of field data as directed by lead surveyor
· Demonstrate a commitment to WHSEQ and the assessment and management of health and safety risk that is consistent with Group WHSEQ policy, procedures, roles and responsibilities
· Other duties and accountabilities as reasonably required and directed
Key requirements:
· Certificate II in surveying, spatial science or similar (desirable)
· Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· General Construction Induction Card
