Love what you do and leave your mark. Help the ALH team drive Strategic Impact in a 350+ Hotel Portfolio and lead end‐to‐end forecasting and reporting for key programs like Gaming Compliance. We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis to join the Hotels Finance team.
The Hotels Finance team is responsible for the finance and strategic leadership for a highly competitive 350+ Hotels business. To be successful, the team focuses on partnering with the business to drive optimal performance while maintaining an objective viewpoint and strong financial control framework.
We are looking for someone with strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyse and summarise high volumes of data, strong presentation and communication skills, and a high level of analytical rigor and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
* Play an integral role in the annual strategic plan, budget process, and monthly forecast cycles, tracking and analysing performance and maintaining the integrity of the financial data used for key commercial and operational decisions.
* Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations, including ownership of the monthly Hotels performance pack and input into the Endeavour reporting cycle (e.g., Hotels KPI Dashboards).
* Assess risks and opportunities against financial targets and recommend mitigating actions.
* Own and manage forecasting and reporting for the Gaming Compliance program, partnering the business in the development of required business cases.
* Manage National / overhead costs, partnering with SLT / cost‐centre owners to explain monthly results.
* Coordinate with the FP&A Senior Finance Manager and the wider finance team to ensure a consistent rhythm for weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly deliverables.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders (Group FP&A, Hotels Commercial and Operations Finance Teams, Hotels Management Accounting Teams) to define P&L line items, cost‐control measures and resource requirements.
What we need from you
* CA / CPA qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
* Strong data analysis and modelling skills to summarise high volumes of data.
* Strong presentation and storyboarding skills.
* Ability to keep output simple, structured, accurate and robust.
* Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from varied sources.
* Ability to communicate complex financial information simply to a broad audience.
* Identify efficiencies to adapt to a changing business environment.
* Prioritise team efforts to support business requirements.
* Strong experience with financial systems in a commercial environment (e.g., Excel pivot tables, vLookups, macros, SAP, Tableau, TM1 Forecasting & Budgeting, Google reporting suite).
