The Victorian Government is establishing 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032 as part of the Best Start, Best Life reforms. The centres offer childcare, Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. About the Role
The ELV Business Management team provide recruitment, payroll and administration support to the Early Learning and Childcare Centres. Reporting to the Business Management Team Leader, the focus of this role will be on supporting our clients throughout the employee life cycle and ensuring their payroll and recruitment needs are met seamlessly. As this position will be the first point of contact for ELCC staff, the ideal candidate will be adept to working autonomously and applying initiative to provide solutions that support service delivery goals. You will thrive in building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, whilst proactively contributing to HR projects and initiatives that improve individual, team and sector employee experiences.
Key accountabilities include:
- Communicating with staff and candidates to resolve HR enquiries verbally and via email
- Coordinate enquiries and manage responses to communications received via a centralised HR mailbox
- Processing, monitoring and adjusting employee system data to ensure accuracy of employee remuneration and entitlements
- Liaising with internal departments on administrative initiatives and policy interpretation and application
- Providing advice and guidance on HR processes and best practice on topics including onboarding/offboarding, recruitment & retention, and workforce planning
- Ensuring compliance and quality control in relation to HR policy, process and legislation

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in recruitment and payroll administration within an education or government setting is desirable
- Qualifications in Human Resources or related field
- Desirable: Experience in working for Government owned and operated Early Learning Services
