Description
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
* Daily cleaning of various public areas
* Capability to walk, ski or snowboard to multiple locations around the mountain, in all weather conditions
* Safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, as per the manufacturer specifications and procedures
* Correctly follow workplace safety guidelines
* Provide a high level of customer service at all times by treating all guests, peers and external parties with respect, an enthusiastic manner, sensitivity, confidentiality and understanding
* Complete cleans within the provided timeframes, ensuring the standard of clean is maintained
* Follow direction from the Housekeeping and Hotel & Apartments Managers for daily tasks, including unexpected situations that may arise
* Assist with snow clearing when required
* Work strongly within a team
* Willingness to start shifts as early as 5:00am
We're Looking for People with:
* Prior cleaning and/or housekeeping experience - preferred
* Basic English – required
* Demonstrated ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
* Previous BSL (Buller Ski Lifts), Mt Buller or Ski Resort employment – preferred
* Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related field
* Can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no supervision
* Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
* Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight
* Able to stand for long periods of time in excess of 4 hours without sitting
* Strong physical abilities for walking around the resort to the various apartments with lots of inclined areas and stairs, sometimes in poor weather conditions
* Honest, trustworthy and reliable
* Be flexible, punctual and committed to your work schedule – early starting shifts
* Making the most of challenging or unfamiliar environment, including the ability to act with urgency and respond positively to situations
* Resilience to work and reside in isolating conditions
