Summary of Role
The Massage Therapist at Lypossage Pty Ltd provides professional therapeutic and remedial body treatments to support clients' health, rehabilitation, and body contouring goals. The role is integral to the clinic's services, which focus on advanced lymphatic drainage, post-operative recovery, and body-sculpting therapies.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform a range of massage techniques (remedial, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, relaxation, sports, post-surgical recovery).
* Deliver specialised Lypossage protocols (manual sculpting, fascia release, vacuum therapy, EMS integration).
* Delivers cellulite reduction therapies, fascia release, and vacuum-assisted massage.
* Assess client needs, medical history, and treatment goals before developing tailored therapy plans.
* Provides therapeutic massage with a focus on body sculpting and fat-pad repositioning.
* Administers combination therapies: manual massage + EMS sculpt + vacuum contouring.
* Works with clients pre- and post-aesthetic procedures to enhance skin tightening and circulation.
* Performs relaxation and remedial massage to relieve tension and muscular discomfort.
* Provide pre- and post-operative care treatments to enhance healing and reduce fibrosis, swelling, and scarring.
* Provides full-body Lypossage massage and post-operative recovery treatments.
* Support detoxification and circulation through massage and adjunct therapies (infrared sauna, cupping, fascia therapy).
* Specialises in lymphatic drainage for clients recovering from surgery (liposuction, tummy tuck, breast augmentation).
* Assists in client education on detox, fluid retention management, posture, and aftercare, recovery strategies.
* Maintains treatment records and assists with product preparation (enzymes, creams, wraps).
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
* Collaborate with other therapists and management to continuously improve treatment protocols.
* Supports business operations by helping coordinate client bookings and follow-up care.
Skills and Attributes Required
* Minimum Certificate IV in Massage Therapist plus two years of relevant work experience or Diploma in Massage Therapist.
* At least two years of relevant work experience as Massage Therapist.
* Strong knowledge of human anatomy, lymphatic and musculoskeletal systems.
* Advanced skill & experience in body massage techniques (relaxing, reducing, cellulite, pregnancy, and butt lift massage).
* High technical skill in manual therapy and body contouring techniques.
* Client-focused, with excellent communication and customer care.
* Ability to follow strict hygiene, health & safety, and professional practice standards.
* Hands on in the operation and management of aesthetic equipment.
