Fruit Farm Worker

POSITION We have full-time positions for Fruit Farm Workers in Coorumba, QLD, 4860.
SKILLS You require at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES The role of the Fruit Farm Worker is to perform routine tasks as directed to assist with banana crop cultivation.
* Meeting with farm supervisors to receive assigned tasks.
* Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use.
* Completing any prestart machinery checklists.
* Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
* Performing general cultivation measures.
* Harvesting bananas.
* Hanging, de-handing and washing bananas.
* Sorting, grading and packing bananas.
* Labelling and stamping produce for distribution.
* Weighing, stacking and strapping banana pellets.
* Unpacking and storing farm supplies.
* Operating machinery to perform bagging, pruning, weeding, slashing, mulching, and fertiliser duties.
* Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
* Reporting completed tasks to the farm supervisor.
* Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.
SALARY The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum based on your experience.
