Technical Sales Representative - Concrete

Sales & Business Development
* Achieve and exceed sales and contribution targets whilst increasing overall sales and margin contribution
* Maintain existing customer base and develop new customers
* Increase market coverage by monitoring competitor activities and regularly engaging with potential customers
* Represent Sika in the marketplace and at industry functions as required
Customer Relations & Technical Support
* Provide technical advice, training, and product demonstrations to customers
* Document and report all customer agreements, offers, and discussions promptly
* Foster strong customer relations through professionalism and efficient serviceInvestigate and resolve customer complaints and issues, reporting matters exceeding £500 to the Sales Manager
* Maintain and continuously update knowledge of products and applications
* Liaise with appropriate Sika staff regarding technical support, product performance, and delivery
* Coordinate with Service Technicians for equipment breakdowns and customer feedback
* Inspect Sika's plant, equipment, and customer storage areas to ensure proper maintenance and compliance
* Record all customer interactions in the CRM system
Reporting & Administration
* Provide monthly forecasts and end-of-month reports to the Sales Manager
* Submit monthly reports detailing market activity, customer engagement, complaints, and competitive intelligence
* Maintain travel diaries for all work-related expenses with documented purpose and customer visits
* Assist with annual budget preparation and expense management
Compliance & Risk Management
* Comply with all State and Federal Laws, Sika Policies, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
* Maintain confidentiality regarding Sika's products and customer information
* Ensure familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and Sika product documentation
* Report any procedural non-compliance or concerns to the Sales Manager
* Perform other tasks as required
Qualifications
* At least 5 years' relevant experience in the Ready Mixed Concrete industry
* High level customer relationship and negotiation skills.
* University or Trade degree or minimum of 3 years' experience in an Industrial Market Field.
* Excellent communication and customer relationship-building skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or SAP.
* Knowledge and previous merchandising experience in the concrete industry (desirable).
