Our Local Council client is seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to provide a range of professional administration and support to their team for 5-weeks pending confirmation of extension. This role plays a key part within ensuring smooth business operations, efficient communication and professional coordination across the unit.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Lead and deliver a range of administrative and business support functions including data and file management, raising purchase orders, preparing invoices and maintaining correspondence within Council's document management system.
* Coordinate meetings, diaries, travel and training logistics while assisting with the preparation of letters, spreadsheets, presentations and reports (including financial, WHS and budget reports).
* Provide day-to-day support to project teams which include managing agendas, taking minutes, responding to customer enquiries and acting as the first point of contact for delegated officers.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote efficiency, continuous improvement and service excellence while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
* Assist with assigned projects by reconciling financial transactions, generating progress reports and ensuring accurate stakeholder communication.
* Maintain accountability for information systems and record-keeping in line with Council policies and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
