The Country Chef Bakery Co. is seeking a hands-on and experienced Inventory Officer to join our team in Bells Creek on the Sunshine Coast.

About This Opportunity

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records across raw materials, packaging and finished goods, ensuring stock integrity, traceability and availability.

* Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and warehouse systems

* Monitor stock movements including receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments

* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

* Ensure correct stock status (available, quarantined, blocked, expired)

* Reconcile physical stock to system records

* Ensure inventory complies with food safety, HACCP and traceability requirements

* Maintain accurate batch, lot and expiry date records

* Support recall readiness and mock recalls

* Support inventory optimisation initiatives and waste reduction

* Assist Planning and Purchasing with inventory insights Warehouse & Cross-Functional Coordination

* Ensure adherence to FIFO / FEFO principles

* Communicate inventory risks proactively Systems, Process & Governance

* Ensure accurate master data and inventory parameters

About You

You’re detail-oriented, organised and take pride in maintaining accurate inventory and smooth stock flow.

* Previous experience in an inventory, warehousing or supply chain role (desirable)

* Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems desired

* Strong understanding of stock control principles (FIFO/FEFO)

* Exposure to food manufacturing or regulated environments (highly regarded)

* Knowledge of food safety standards and traceability requirements (e.g. HACCP)

* Proven ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies

* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

* Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally

* Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and waste reduction
