We are seeking an accomplished Forensic Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning research and development, particularly in areas such as digital forensics, computer vision, biometrics, and natural language processing.
About the Role
 * We require a strong background in Forensic Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Criminology, or related area.
 * The successful candidate will have a proven track record of high-quality research outputs and demonstrated proficiency in Python, including data handling and backend development.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an ARC Linkage Project that aims to deliver new digital forensic capabilities for police, enhancing child sexual abuse investigations in partnership with South Australia Police, the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, and Deakin University.
Responsibilities
 1. You will work on developing applications interfacing with machine learning libraries, processing large-scale data, and creating compelling visualisations and narratives for non-technical users.
 2. You will be part of the Adelaide Cybercrime Laboratory, an interdisciplinary team based at the University of Adelaide, working on projects to prevent, detect, and investigate cybercrimes.
