The Senior Scheduler will contribute to major naval shipbuilding programs and strategic initiatives at the Henderson shipyard.As a key member of the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Senior Scheduler will be accountable for project schedule construction and baselining, aligning resource profiles and performance measurement.What's InvolvedBuild, maintain, and develop coherent, accurate master schedules in line with the Good Scheduling Practices Guide, while coaching and providing hands-on support to project schedulersAct as an expert advisor to project teams by assessing the impact of proposed or actual changes on project schedules and offering strategic guidanceConduct proactive reviews of schedules to validate accuracy, identify risks, and recommend improvements in line with scheduling best practiceWork closely with project stakeholders, engaging in meetings and workshops to ensure alignment of scheduling activities and provide real-time supportEstablish and execute robust monitoring, forecasting, and reporting processes, including regular updates to the Contract Master ScheduleAnalyse the short- and long-term impacts of project changes on resource requirements, contributing to workforce planning and profilingIdentify opportunities to enhance scheduling practices, tools, and standards, including readiness for Integrated Baseline Reviews in an EVMS environmentActively participate in the Enterprise PMO and Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement initiatives, supporting organisational change and long term planningYou'll NeedAbility to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance3-5+ years' experience in scheduling role in Shipbuilding, construction or DefencePrimavera P6 literate with a minimum of 2 years' experienceKnowledge of EVM and related disciplines to enable cost and schedule variance tracking and reporting of performance indicators, including Project forecasting and cost estimationExcellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skillsWhy AustalCompetitive compensation and benefits packageProfessional development and training opportunitiesA supportive and dynamic work environmentOpportunities for career advancement within our growing organisationOur global team is guided by a universal set of values: Excellence, Customer Focus, Integrity, and Team Work.
