The Opportunity
An established civil consultancy in Canberra is growing its civil team of 7 engineers and looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to play a key role in delivering major building infrastructure projects.
Recent and upcoming work includes high-profile assignments such as the War Memorial redevelopment, numerous hospitals, and theatres, spanning from master planning and business cases through to detailed documentation.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the preparation and management of civil design and documentation packages, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery within budget
* Coordinating with clients, authorities (especially ACT Government agencies), stakeholders, and the wider design team to resolve design challenges and integrate civil infrastructure
* Preparing proposals, managing project costs, and overseeing delivery
* Applying technical knowledge to develop practical solutions for drains, stormwater, roads, pavements, retaining walls, water and sewer mains
* Building strong client relationships, particularly with government agencies, and growing your network
* Contributing to business growth and supporting the team through mentoring and leadership
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* CPEng accreditation or working towards it
* 5+ years’ civil engineering experience, ideally with ACT Government or local public sector exposure
* Experience designing and coordinating civil infrastructure including drains, stormwater, roads, pavements, retaining walls, and water/sewer mains
* Proficiency in Civil 3D, DRAINS and MUSIC
* Strong client-facing and project management skills, including proposal preparation and cost management
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
