Job summary: Looking for candidates available to work on a rotating schedule, including mornings and varying days.
Salary: Expected hourly rate $33 - $35.
Responsibilities
Forklift driving
Machine operation
Picking and packing
Dispatch/inspection duties
Cleaning duties
Trades assistance
General administrative duties as required (record keeping, delivery dockets, scheduling, maintenance history and records, job reports, stock adjustments)
Workshop OH&S; responsibilities (training provided as required)
Actively support and contribute to a safe working environment and team
Qualifications / Must Haves
Experience and/or ability to operate production machinery – waterjet cutter, bandsaw, guillotine
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy in their work
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and operate different technological platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP)
Time management and task prioritisation skills
Positive written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn computer operations relevant to machine operations
Experience working to strict procedures related to safety, quality and specifications
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to work various shifts as needed (day, afternoon or night)
Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining a tidy and safe work environment
Holding a valid forklift licence with high reach and stand-on forklift experience is advantageous
