Your commitment to professional accountability and teamwork will be essential as you mentor other clinicians and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent, responsive care throughout each phase of a woman’s journey.Join us and make a meaningful impact by empowering women and supporting their families during one of the most important experiences of their lives.What You'll Be DoingThe Registered Midwife-Midwifery Group Practice coordinates and delivers high quality woman and newborn- centered continuity of care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s standards of Practice for Midwives, and the policies and procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and South Western Sydney Local Health District.The Midwifery Group Practice midwife is responsible and accountable for delivering quality woman focused, evidence based midwifery care at an advanced level across all continuums of pregnancy, labour and birth and the postnatal period. The Midwifery Group Practice Midwife will also provide leadership, planning and coordination of care for women in her caseload, and provide support and mentorship to other clinicians.Where you'll be workingBankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia.
