An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in a permanent part-time role, working three days per week (Wednesday to Friday) onsite at our office. Reporting to the HR Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing across multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and effective communication.
What you’ll be doing
- Process fortnightly payroll
- Maintain and update employee timesheets
- Save and prepare pay runs for audits
- Manage terminations and final payments
- Investigate and resolve pay discrepancies
- Enter payroll journals and assist with reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end reporting
- Handle ad hoc payroll duties as required
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years’ experience in an end-to-end payroll role
- Experience with Roubler payroll software (preferred)
- Knowledge of Time & Attendance systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management – able to meet deadlines under pressure
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good knowledge of Up-to-date Awards and payroll compliance
