Our client has an exciting recent opportunity for a Festivals & Events Officer to join their team and play a key role in delivering vibrant community events where you would potentially be responsible with planning, coordinating, promoting and evaluating local festivals and public programs within the Dandenong region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Researching and investigating appropriate activities and projects to maximise the planning and delivery of Festivals & Events
- Assisting in the forward planning and development of client’s Festivals and Events and other public engagement programs, as required
- Providing support and specialised advice to Community, Corporate, Government agencies and internal departments in the planning and delivery of their festivals and events
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant key stakeholders to ensure flexible and responsive service to the community
- Ensuring widespread and effective marketing of festivals and events by working collaboratively with Media and Communications and external promotional agencies
Requirements:
- Valid National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current Drivers Licence
- Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
- Experience in managing volunteers and contract workers
- Experience in planning and delivering large public outdoor events
- Experience working with culturally diverse community and community event organisers
