About The Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating and delivering engaging leisure and lifestyle programs. If you have a caring nature, excellent interpersonal skills, and a flair for creativity, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Respect every resident's individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
* Develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
* Provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Effective interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
* Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
* Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
* Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and cooperation.
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission‑based organisation.
