They are responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, proactively managing and mitigating risk, supporting and building a culture of safety across the business.
This role is essential in reducing incidents, highlighting potential risks, maintaining productivity, and protecting the organisation's reputation and legal standing.What You'll DoEnsure legal compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, regulatory boards and internal policies.
Identify and assess risks across operations and implement effective control measures.
Lead incident investigations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Develop and maintain WHS systems, procedures, and documentation.
Drive safety training and education to build WHS culture & capability across all levels.
Monitor and report on WHS performance, trends, and key metrics.
Foster a proactive safety culture through engagement, leadership, and continuous improvement.
Advise executive leadership and board on WHS risks, strategic initiatives, and emerging issues.
