AYAN InfoTech is looking for Data Engineer (Amazon Redshift) to join an exciting project based in Melbourne .
The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancement projects.
Role: Data Engineer (Amazon Redshift) Location: Melbourne Contract Duration: 6 Months with high possible extensions Experience: 5+ Years Required Skills Experience: At least 5 years appropriate industry experience in large Insurance organisation Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence environment or Data applications.
Demonstrable experience in writing as well as migrating SQL based applications between heterogeneous databases, SQL conversion, end to end testing and reconciliation.
Exceptionally strong SQL background, with capability to write SQL with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff.
Proven capability to develop Data Applications based on SQL.
Proven capability to utilize tools and develop data acquisition data movement of files and/or between heterogeneous databases and system's Proficient in building and optimizing data models using DBT core or cloud, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Deep understanding of databases, data storage and data movement tools including how optimise development approaches aligning to best practices: AWS Redshift - Mandatory, Databricks - Mandatory Proficient with version control tools and other developer utilities to develop and use continuous integration, Deployment (CICD) and test pipelines for database and data applications.
Demonstrable ability to perform analysis, data mapping validation as well as data model implementation.
