Support Worker Plainland, Queensland
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Worker to provide one-on-one support for an 8-year-old boy with autism and ADHD in Plainland, Queensland. This role requires someone patient, energetic, and experienced in working with children with additional needs.
About the Role:
* Provide one-on-one support to an 8-year-old participant
* Assist with daily routines and personal care
* Support emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour strategies
* Engage in structured activities and community outings
* Encourage independence, social development, and confidence
* Maintain clear communication with family and follow care plans
Working Days:
Wednesday to Sunday (specific hours to be discussed)
Essential Requirements:
* Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card – QLD)
* Current Police Check
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable vehicle (preferred)
* Certificate III in Individual Support
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Skills & Attributes:
* Experience working with children with autism and/or ADHD
* Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Ability to implement positive behaviour support strategies
* Strong communication skills
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to work independently
