Our client, a Government Agency responsible for National WHS & Workers' compensation policy, are seeking the experience of an Accountant for a 4 + 4 month contract.
Duties of the Accountant
* Assist with financial statement preparation.
* Preparation of accounting position papers.
* Perform monthly and annual financial reporting to Department of Finance through CBMS.
* Co-ordination of the external audit of financial statements.
* Preparation of relevant content for the annual report.
Skills and Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience in technical accounting and qualifications in accounting as well as CPA membership is required.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
