Grants Manager / Program Manager – Industry Investment Programs

Our client is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead the development, delivery and governance of strategic Industry Investment Programs. This role is responsible for ensuring programs are aligned to government objectives, delivered efficiently, and managed within robust governance, financial and compliance frameworks. As a key member of the management team, the Grants Manager provides strategic leadership, specialist advice on grants and contracting, and contributes to continuous improvement across industry investment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end development, delivery and ongoing management of Industry Investment Programs, ensuring alignment to agency outcomes.
* Provide strategic advice on procurement, contracting, grants/financial assistance, and financial management, including complex arrangements.
* Contribute to business planning and management frameworks, including implementation and performance monitoring.
* Design, implement and continually improve program governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
* Develop and embed policies, tools and processes that support effective program administration and continuous improvement.
* Provide consultancy and advisory support to align programs within a strategic framework, identifying opportunities for collaboration, consolidation and reform.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships; represent the agency in consultations/negotiations; and liaise with legal counsel on complex matters.
Essential Requirements
* Substantial experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of industry development programs and/or policy initiatives.
* Substantial management‐level experience in the delivery of corporate financial assistance programs, including grants and/or loans.
* Substantial experience in the development and management of complex financial and commercial contracts.
* Strong leadership capability with a proven ability to guide teams and influence senior stakeholders.
* Well‐developed analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
* A strong understanding of governance, compliance, risk management and public sector accountability.
