ASCO's core business is providing materials management and logistics services to the Oil & Gas industry.
A new and exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, highly motivated, experienced Logistics Specialist / Custom Agent Broker based in Darwin. The key focus of this role is to coordinate the efficient movement of goods while ensuring full compliance with customs, biosecurity and trade regulations. The role manages end-to-end logistics activities including marine coordination, import and export documentation, freight coordination and internal stakeholders to ensure our customer cargo is delivered safely, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.

What your role at ASCO will look like:
* Scheduling meetings and coordinating attendees
* Facilitating communication between team members and stakeholders
* Creating and updating project documents, including spreadsheets and presentations
* Maintaining project files and databases
* Managing project calendars and deadlines
* Identifying potential risks and issues, and escalating to the Operations Manager
* Monitoring project budget and expenditures
* Gathering and analyzing data to support project decision-making and areas of improvement
* Creating project status reports and presentations for stakeholders
* Assist with weekly and monthly reporting requirements
* Coordinate import/export & domestic logistics, including freight forwarding and transport arrangements
* Coordinate vessels movements for key clients and contractors
* Prepare and manage customs documentation in compliance with ABF and DAFF requirements
* Monitor shipments and resolve delays or clearance issues
* Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
* Review freight and customs costs and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain compliance with WHS, biosecurity and regulatory requirements
What you can bring to ASCO:
* Understanding of Australian customs, quarantine and biosecurity requirements (ABF/DAFF)
* Knowledge of transport, Chain of Responsibility and materials management operations
* Awareness of compliance and regulatory influences
* A team player and demonstrate behaviours in line with ASCO's Values
* Ability to work within a team environment, as well as unsupervised
* Maintains positive work relationships
* Excellent analytical skills
* Proficiency in project management tools and software
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
* Strong customer interaction, including maintaining good working relationships and responding to all enquiries in a timely manner
