We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager who takes full ownership of the business, holds the team to a high standard, and works closely with the Managing Director to keep operations running at their best.
Role Overview: As the Ecommerce, Retail & Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our business - from warehouse and fulfilment to retail, customer service, and team performance.
This is a hands‐on leadership role. When the team needs support - whether on the warehouse floor, in the retail shop, or across customer service - the Operations Manager gets involved and leads by example. That's the culture here at BPS.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of warehouse, e-commerce fulfilment, and retail operations
* Resource planning, rostering, leave management, timesheets, and payroll reconciliation
* Leading team meetings and driving a culture of accountability – with structured feedback, clear expectations, and genuine performance management
* End-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and training for new and existing team members
* Procedure development and updates, ensuring compliance with WHS and first aid standards
* Facilities, office, and systems maintenance including IT tools, platforms, and software
* Stock control, importation, inventory reporting, reconciling, and supplier relationship management
* Handling escalated customer complaints and claims professionally and promptly
* Business development initiatives including sourcing new products and suppliers
* Keeping the Managing Director regularly informed on operational performance, team updates, and key decisions
* Supporting BPS projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced in retail, warehousing, logistics, retail, or e‐commerce operations management (8+ years, or relevant degree)
* Proven track record in staff and performance management, recruitment, and training.
* Strong understanding of warehouse management processes and inventory control.
* Experience in retail and customer service management preferred.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
* Knowledge of the pool equipment industry or related field is desirable.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Proactive problem‐solving mindset.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment and meet deadlines.
* Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

Stakeholders: The Operations Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including warehouse staff, customer service representatives, and administrative personnel. Additionally, interaction with external parties such as suppliers, freight companies, and customers will be essential to ensure smooth operations and uphold high service standards.
