A full-time permanent role within a well-established accounting / SMSF firm based in Hobart. The position is for a Public Practice Accountant interested in providing accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses, including tax preparation and compliance, super, and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities:
Provide accounting, tax and SMSF services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is completed accurately and within tight deadlines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing high-quality, proactive advice on accounting and tax matters.
Conduct tax planning and optimization exercises for clients to minimize their tax liabilities.
Assist in the preparation of business plans, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports as required.
Collaborate with other team members to provide a seamless, integrated service to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
CPA or working towards it.
3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses.
Experience with Xero XPM and BGL 360.
