About the role

Are you passionate about driving organisational learning and development? We are seeking a dynamic Learning and Development Program Senior Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and reporting of high-impact programs across our corporate L&D; suite. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping our learning culture, managing multiple projects, and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of L&D; initiatives—from strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to procurement and quality assurance. Your work will directly contribute to the professional growth of our workforce and the long-term success of our programs.

This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for lifelong learning and professional development. You thrive in complex environments, managing and facilitating multiple programs simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of delivery. You’re confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, presenting ideas, and influencing outcomes.

About Your Skills

- Strong strategic and innovative thinking with the ability to generate new ideas and approaches.
- Proven project management skills to initiate, maintain, and control multiple programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including report writing and presentation development.
- Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to embed change.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Skilled in training facilitation, identifying and solving complex change management challenges.

Required Qualifications

- Degree in Human Resources (with a focus on employee development) or
- Degree in Adult & Education Training (with an organisational focus) or
- Demonstrated capability through relevant experience and/or qualifications.

Desired Experience

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent/higher qualification.
- Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or higher qualification.
- Professional experience in a similar L&D; program management role.
- Proven experience managing multiple programs using project management methodologies.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and change management.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing L&D; strategies and initiatives.
