Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will manage life insurance claims from start to finish, providing an exceptional experience for customers.
In this role, you will:
* Focus on delivering best-in-class customer and client service, including regular communication regarding claim status and managing expectations.
* Independently manage a portfolio of Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and Income Protection (IP) claims.
* Assess, analyze, calculate, and finalize claims payments in a timely manner.
* Engage with external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants, and in-house medical and legal specialists to deliver optimal outcomes for customers.
* Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established procedures.
* Participate in case conferences, peer discussions, and instructing third-party service providers.
Qualifications and Skills
* Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy - TPD and/or IP claims experience is desirable.
* Workers' Compensation or Return-to-Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
* Excellent communication and empathy to support customers during challenging times.
* Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses, and treatment.
