About My Client: A major Australian infrastructure services provider. They are a key player in the infrastructure sector, dedicated to delivering secure and reliable solutions that improve the lives of communities by providing integrated, seamless services.
The Role
Project Manager for a 6 to 12-month contract, with the possibility of permanent conversion. This role is a vital part of the metropolitan-based team and focuses on the end-to-end delivery of civil and building projects, with values ranging from $200,000 to $3 million.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring all phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Budget & Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and manage financial reporting.
- Stakeholder & Team Management: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, and maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Risk & Quality Control: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and implement quality assurance processes to ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Site Management: Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring work is progressing as planned and that all safety protocols are strictly followed.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in the civil or building construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and relevant industry certifications (e.g., White Card).
