Maas Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Dandy Premix's workshop in Cranbourne.
Liaising with the Operations Manager for Registered Vehicles, the Workshop Supervisor will ensure all compliance with Protected Work Victoria, State Regulatory Bodies and MGH Safety and Compliance Maintenance schedules and recording of repairs through work orders are up to date.
Responsibilities
* Supervise the team of mechanics, encourage communication and high performance in the team.
* Ability to guide team in line with company values.
* Work within workshop rules and regulations.
* Liaising with direct managers, MGH Operations Manager, asset compliance coordinators and business unit admin daily.
* Prepare and supervise repair schedules, maintenance and planning with both Heavy Vehicles and LV's.
* Report on major repairs and expecting downtimes.
* Ensure all obligations are met for COR and NHVR Compliance with heavy vehicles.
* Assist and thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
* Service and maintain fleet.
* Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.
* Ownership of major repairs, ensure mechanics are working effectively while maintaining a clean and protected setting. Maintaining professional and clear communication with all company staff.
Qualifications
* Current drivers' license.
* Forklift license.
* Fully qualified with at least 4 years' experience as a qualified Mechanic.
* Previous supervisor skills.
* Sound knowledge of Heavy Vehicles.
* Basic auto electrical knowledge.
* Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
* Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
* Solid commitment to Work Health and Safety.
* A person who is approachable with excellent people skills.
* A team player who is action focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
* Challenge yourself with a mindset of best practice and continuous improvement.
* Ability to problem solve and engage their peers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
* Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
