The Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished senior finance leader to join DTMI as Director Accounting Services, a pivotal leadership role responsible for the integrity, accuracy and performance of DTMI's financial operations.
This is a permanent, full‑time position available for immediate filling, offering the opportunity to step into a critical leadership role at a time of significant organisational and portfolio growth.
In this position, you will lead the branch accountable for:
Financial reporting and statutory compliance
Australian Accounting Standards application
General ledger governance
Asset accounting and taxation
Financial systems oversight
Accounts payable and receivable functions
The role also holds statutory responsibility as the Chief Financial Officer for the Western Australian Coastal Shipping Commission, providing an additional layer of strategic influence and accountability.
You will drive high‑quality financial stewardship, support major project delivery, and ensure the organisation meets all obligations under the Financial Management Act, associated Regulations and Treasurer's Instructions.

What you'll bring
We are looking for a senior leader who blends deep technical expertise with mature judgement, strategic insight and the ability to operate in a complex, high‑visibility public sector context. You'll bring:
Full, current membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA Australia, CA ANZ or IPA).
Extensive experience applying Australian Accounting Standards and preparing high‑quality annual financial statements.
Strong understanding of public sector compliance, including the Financial Management Act, Regulations and Treasurer's Instructions.
Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams in a complex finance environment.
Excellent stakeholder engagement capability, with the credibility to advise executives, auditors, central agencies and project leads.
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic change, improving processes, systems and ways of working.
