About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and experienced National Parts Manager to join our team and make a significant impact

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a key national role where you'll lead in streamlining the supply and procurement of spare parts—locally and internationally. You'll collaborate closely with our OEM, major suppliers, and dealer network to ensure timely delivery, maintain optimal stock levels, and enhance efficiency across our national spare parts operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead VDI's parts function with high standards of customer centricity, inspiring the team to perform against KPIs
* Utilise empowerment and autonomy to optimise performance
* Coordinate parts orders, manage shipments from overseas vendors, and oversee local dispatches
* Liaise with international counterparts to align customer needs with strategic goals
* Build professional relationships with dealers and customers to achieve customer experience and operational targets
* Ensure best-in-class warehouse operations, including systems use (Pentana), data management, logistics, and safety adherence

Team & Training Management

* Lead and train warehouse staff in product knowledge, systems, and safety procedures
* Engage across multiple stakeholder groups, managing reporting structures
* Handle disputes professionally and efficiently
* Drive process improvements and foster a high-performance culture
* Monitor team goals, delegate responsibilities, and support professional development
* Demonstrate VDI's Core Values and inspire others
* Guide recruitment to ensure suitable staffing
* Develop a high-performing, customer-centric team meeting sales, service, and operational objectives
* Resolve problems collaboratively and promptly
* Prioritise safety and wellbeing
* Develop strategies to minimise financial risks and optimise performance
* Manage budgets, margins, and financial reporting
* Collaborate on parts pricing strategies to balance revenue and margins
