Lionheart Camp for Kids is seeking a voluntary Board Secretary to be appointed at our next Annual General Meeting in early December 2025. We are looking for an organised and detail-orientated person who will embrace this key governance role that is the record-keeping and administrative backbone of the Board.
Beyond the roles administrative responsibilities, this is an opportunity for you to join a Board of dedicated volunteers, with diverse professional backgrounds and lived experience, that help provide strategic leadership to an established organisation that is on an exciting trajectory. It's the collective will of our leadership team to grow Lionheart's reach, expand our programs and support many more grieving families.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

* Commitment to integrity
* Experience in governance, administration, or a similar role
* Capacity to provide strategic input
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Meticulous document management
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
* Previous Board experience in the not-for-profit sector highly desirable
TIME COMMITMENT
We are looking for someone who will be actively engaged and involved in Lionheart in supporting our vision, values and objectives. This will require attendance at all board meetings (8-10 per year) as well as approximately 1 – 2 hours a week to carry out the necessary tasks. Board meetings are mostly held in-person (usually in West Perth). Our Annual Planning Day and Annual General Meetings are in-person in Perth Metro.
Outside of these board meetings, hours and location can be flexible.
THE ORGANISATION
Lionheart Camp for Kids (Lionheart) is a not-for-profit organisation working to support some of WA's most vulnerable children and families following the death of a family member.
Lionheart has played a significant role in developing a connected, compassionate, and caring WA society, where grief is seen as a natural, healthy, and normal response to loss by providing children's bereavement programs. Lionheart is an organisation run by passionate and skilled professionals that offers education programs and camps to provide support to grieving families and children.
