The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Spray Manager will be responsible for planning, procurement, execution, and the optimisation of an annual spray program.
This role combines hands-on spraying, chemical and inventory management, and active involvement in agronomy and production decision-making to ensure that crops are protected efficiently, safely and profitably.
As one of the leaders inside the business, the Spray Manager plays a key role in maximising yield potential, protecting crop quality, managing resistance risk, and controlling costs through precise, well-timed spray programs.
About You
To be successful in this key leadership position, the Spray Manager will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
Experience with modern spray equipment and farm machinery
Hands-on leadership experience, gained in production agriculture
Strong interpersonal, communication and planning skills
Some experience with agronomy, procurement and precision agriculture
Ability to work with contractors and agronomists, as required
Experience leading by example, in promoting a safety-first culture
