NTHA Trainees & Apprentices are seeking a motivated Timber Systems Design Trainee to join our host employer’s team based in Bundamba.
NTHA is a nationally registered Group Training Organisation that employs and supports apprentices and trainees by placing them with host employers for quality, paid, hands-on training and real industry experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Launch your career in timber systems design with a traineeship that combines technical skill, construction knowledge, and computer-based design.
As a Timber Systems Design Trainee, you’ll learn how to design and detail timber floor systems for residential homes. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll develop strong analytical, mathematical, and CAD skills while gaining real-world exposure to the building industry.
This is an 18–24 month paid traineeship, completing a Certificate III in Timber Systems Design (FWP31220), setting you up for long-term career success in a growing industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Learn and operate industry IT and CAD software
* Daily use of computer-based design systems
* Read and interpret residential building plans
* Estimate material quantities
* Cost and quote projects within budget requirements
* Design and detail timber floor systems
* Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and standards

Monday – Friday
7:00am – 3:00pm
