Motacare is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled fully qualified motor mechanic to join our team at the Torquay workshop. As the official RACV Depot in Torquay, we offer a dynamic work environment with a great variety of tasks, ranging from RACV vehicle inspections to breakdown assistance for a wide range of vehicles.
The successful applicant will possess strong diagnostic skills, broad automotive knowledge, and the ability to complete complex repairs with minimal supervision. We require applicants to have at least 1–2 years of automotive diagnostic experience. While a medium rigid license is highly regarded for occasional towing duties, it is not essential; we are happy to support the successful candidate in obtaining this license.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnostics and fault finding.
* Servicing maintenance and repairs.
* Mechanical work and assisting in maintaining a clean, tidy workshop.
What we're looking for
* Qualified automotive mechanic or 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
* A passion for the automotive industry, motivated and commitment to staying current with industry trends.
* Excellent communication, reliable and able to work well in a team or with minimal supervision.
* Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

$80,000 – $85,000 pa + Superannuation (dependent on skills & qualifications)
Who we are
Motacare is the RACV Auto Accredited Workshop in Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton, and Torquay and leading Road Service provider to the RACV in country Victoria. Motacare performs over 50,000 jobs per year for the RACV and also performs many other specialised services such as Pre Purchase Inspections, Child Restraint fitting, and Towing.
Most of the towing that we do is RACV members that have broken down in the local area. Motacare tow them to our workshop for diagnosis and repair, their workshop, or to their home.
