Job Role

An Aboriginal Health Practitioner is required to deliver culturally appropriate care in the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Emergency Department.

This position is for an individual of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent who can provide high-quality, culturally responsive care to patients.


Key Responsibilities

* Culturally Appropriate Care: Deliver culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.
* Team Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, culturally responsive care.
* Patient Support: Provide support to Aboriginal patients and families in the Emergency Department.
* Qualifications: Hold a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and be a current authority to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).


Requirements

* Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and advocacy skills.
* Cultural Competence: Demonstrate a passion for supporting Aboriginal patients and working in a culturally safe environment.
