About the Fleet & Maintenance Team
Our Fleet & Protective Equipment team maintains, refurbishes, and manages over 2,000 first‐response appliances and equipment. As part of this team, the Fleet Maintenance department plays a pivotal role in ensuring our fleet is ready for service.
Daily Responsibilities
* Ensure fleet assets are maintained in accordance with industry standards and CFA maintenance procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
* Create electronic work orders using CFA software.
* Liaise with Brigade members regarding proposed work and work performed.
* Report to the Officer‐in‐Charge on maintenance, administrative and technical matters.
* Ensure Industrial Safety Standards are observed.
Qualifications
* Motor Mechanic qualification and a Heavy Rigid Driver Licence (or ability to obtain within CFA set timeframes).
* Skills and ability to maintain safety at an incident scene and render assistance to others (First Aid Level 2, or ability to obtain within CFA set timeframes).
