The program draws on three approaches: peer support principals, the CHIME framework and elements of reflective practice.Peer Facilitators will intentionally draw on their own lived experience to support the learning of others. This includes effectively communicating the challenges and experiences that contributed to their caring journey. Facilitators will have the ability to demonstrate an awareness of their own experiences, to articulate and share personal strategies for self-care, safety and wellbeing, including a personal insight into the impact of stigma and the subsequent effect this has for individuals, families and the broader community.To be successful in this role, you will need:Lived experience as a young carer or adult carerCertificate IV or above in a support discipline and/or Equivalent Community sector experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsRight to work within AustraliaCurrent valid Driver’s Licence and the ability to undertake some travelNDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course)Satisfactory National Police Records CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children's Check (Employee/Paid)What We OfferPurpose-Driven Culture: Immerse yourself in a culture where passion meets purpose.
