Overview
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) role focuses on coordinating patient-centred care within the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) specialty.
* This clinical leader is responsible for ensuring high-quality, specialized care tailored to the needs of older adults with dementia and delirium.
Your Role
You will identify patients with acute illness, frailty, or cognitive impairment in the Emergency Department and ensure timely transfer to a specialized Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) setting for early assessment and intervention.
* Streamline patient flow and improve care outcomes by providing expert clinical oversight and management.

The CNC demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory, providing clinical leadership, advice, and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team.
* Facilitate and provide quality and cost-effective nursing and/or midwifery services consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation, and best practice.
