About the Role
Design and Develop New Products for Manufacturing Facility.
Job Description
* Develop and modify new products as per generation plan requirements.
* Investigate and implement projects to reduce direct material costs, direct labour costs, and improve product quality.
* Design, develop and modify components and finished assemblies using CATIA software.
* Liaise with various departments including Quality, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Tooling Engineering.
* Construct and update BOM's (Bill of Materials) and ECN's (Engineering Change Notices).
* Coordinate and assist in introducing components and assemblies into production.
* Follow up and rectify problems found with components and assemblies.
* Participate in Project Teams and FMEA's (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
* Prepare timing plans and risk assessments.
* Support the introduction and ramp-up of new models into production.

Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts and materials.
* Solid understanding of quality assurance principles.
* Competence in CATIA V5 CAD software.
* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Able to work with people at all levels within the organisation.
* Ability to prioritise projects and self-manage workload.
