Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands & AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne Southbank are seeking a Chef De Partie to join their teams on a Part-Time basis.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Cluster Executive Chef, your main responsibilities as a Chef De Partie for either AC Hotel Southbank or Marriott Hotel Docklands, will include:
* Supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
* Collaborate with the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
* Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
* Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
* Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish focusing on attention to detail
* Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations
* Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience
* Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
* Maintain strong food safety and property standards, setting the pace in the industry
* Complete all compliance and brand training requirements
Key Skills and Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will have:
* Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
* True passion for the hospitality industry
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Working rights in Australia
* Enthusiastic to escalate your career
* Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
* Availability to work across 7 days including weekends, and late nights.
